As the PhD student (ESR 2) at Radboud University Nijmegen and Free University Berlin, Beatrice’s project focused on individual differences in literary reading. During her undergraduate studies in Biochemistry (University of Bath) and MSc in Neuroscience (King’s College London), she was involved in research into the neural basis of bilingualism as well as individual differences underlying emotion regulation. Her research combined some of these topics by investigating, through the use of conceptual models and on-line measures of reading such as eye-tracking, how and why individuals have markedly different experiences when engaging with literature.
